The second rite in the Votive cycle. Written between the road and the long dark — louder, hungrier, closer to the bone. Still bleeding in the studio.
Work in progressWe don't write songs — we open scars. Every record is a séance for the parts of ourselves we couldn't keep buried.
VEYLOCRA emerged out of a Reykjavík rehearsal-room in the winter of 2019. Four musicians, one stubborn obsession: the place where post-hardcore melody meets the deep-end of metalcore weight, where elegy collides with detonation. The result is music that feels carved rather than recorded.
One debut EP — Calcified — a relentless run of singles, and a debut album, Of Votive & Vellum, arriving 30 October 2026, unveiled one single at a time in a slow, deliberate waterfall. Their sound refuses half-measures: equal parts dirge and detonation, sermon and scream.
Though VEYLOCRA is a fictional band, their world feels real: a dark mirror of longing, rage, and survival. They stand for the side of rock music that still believes emotion should be dangerous, beauty should have teeth, and every silence hides a scream.
VEYLOCRA is not here to comfort the broken-hearted. They are here to give them an anthem.
